The annual Christian hip hop summit in Australia was on the 4-6th of November. This year it moved from Sydney where it had been for the last 5 years, up to Brisbane.
Uprock is the perfect opportunity to get workshops in your element of hip-hop. Emcees, DJs, graffiti artist, and break dancers will all benefit. From the skilled to the people just wanting to try something new. They bring artists in from around Australia and overseas to run workshops. There's even workshops on Christian leadership and knowledge.
Each night had a concert with artists from Australia and overseas. As well a hip-hop flavoured church service which ran on the Sunday.
Uprock Park Jam breakdancing event was still run in Sydney at the Wiley Park Amphitheatre. This year it was also the R16 qualifier for Australia. With competing 1-on-1, team battles, and a glimpse of the future of breaking with the junior battles.
