In conjunction with Krosswerdz of Australia, City Lights are proud to bring you the first ever Canadian branch of their Uprock conference.

It's a time for Christians, artists, and "heads" to be encouraged, learn about the hip-hop elements, do life together, and see what a life with God in hip-hop looks like.

FYI: Entry fee will be by donation.

Friday, August 25 @ 300 Steeles Ave. E., (Bayview and Steeles)
Not limited to, but especially for leaders and helpers (in whatever you do) and those involved in the hip-hop elements
6:30-7:30pm - registration
7:30-8:30 - welcome session and fellowship/networking
8:30-9:15 - encouragement and teaching
9:15-10:00 - Prayers Ball (time of prayer)

Saturday, August 26 @ 1250 Markham Road (Markham and 401)
Open to everyone, Christian or not, hip-hop or not...yet
11am-12pm - registration
12-1pm - welcome session
1-2:30pm - workshop: choice of graffiti (with Mistery of Australia), emceeing, or Crew Therapy (a safe time of sharing life)
2:30-3:30 - break: fellowship/networking and catching up (with refreshments)
3:30-5 - workshop: choice of rapping/freestyling (with Izzy of Australia), Production (with CDH Live of Canada), or Prayers Ball
5-6:30 - dinner (not provided, but there are plenty of spots close by)
8-10 - live rap performances and breaking cyphers

Note that the workshops can change.

Krosswerdz started in Australia in 2006.  The first annual Uprock Christian Hip Hop Summit, was held in Sydney in 2011.  Krosswerdz has since spread to countries including Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
